Calonge is located at El Baix Emporda, which is the home to several well-known seaside resorts such as Playa d’Aro and Palamos. Here, you’ll find picturesque bays and villages. Nearby lies El Alt Empordà, well-known for its lovely wines and ceramics. The Dalí museum, which shows the surrealistic paintings of Salvador Dalí, is located in the capitol city Figueras. You should also visit one of the little, white fishing villages at the intimate bays. The villages are connected through smugglers trails, where you can hike blissfully. Also snorkeling, diving, horse riding and golfing are options the region offers. The various sandy beaches are ideal for children, as well as the possibility to visit the aqua park nearby Calogne. An absolute must is Girona, where you can find one of the best kept historical city centers of Calogne. Narrow alleys and small streets with stairs are the beautiful décor.
